I want to run a new game, but I don't know where to start. Damn you, Gamer ADHD!
My health has been terrible this week. I'll start posting again soon.
Get well soon!!
17 pages into my Zweihander review and I haven't gotten past the introduction yet...
Heh, is it a Glowing Review or an Epic Rant? 17 pages written on just the intro, it's got to be one or the other. :D
Its hard to say at this point, so far its been taken over by reminiscing about WFRP 1e. I will say that it has some big shoes to fill.
I love the brash, bald-faced idea of the game but wish it was a tad more concise.
Coughing and sneezing through gum stitches. Fun times!
Get better soon, Ship.
Marvel vs. Capcom vs. White Wolf! Yes, it is as awesome as it sounds.
I have begun the first chapter of a Vampire: The Masquerade story titled "Blood & Bubblegum". Check it out!
Holy crap, White Star is crazy good. How did I miss out on this?
I have promised to run 3 different games for 3 dfferent groups. And I can't even read a gaming book these days. Fuck me, I suck.
Time for RISUS!
Lawyer your way out! Did you specify start dates?
Welcome to my life. I move hell and earth to ensure I am running a few games, but then get a total mindblank when I am meant to be prepping. What gives?

Anybody like my "Blue Box" custom setting for OD&D/Swords & Wizardry?
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year, Pub-goers!
I’m thinking no essence hit. Thought about this hard and dislike it. Optional madness perhaps. Tech costs money, but bypasses skill need
Also, ripped out some quick and dirty drone rules on the BRP board that I’m mostly happy with. Still need some refining, but drones get STR, SIZ, DEX, INT, and POW.
DEX and INT mostly for AP. INT represents AI. STR and SIZ determine amount carried (weapons). It’s essentially a manifested spirit, something like an undead spirit
Think of the AI as the spirit part. You can drive it using your Binding skill equivalent and AP, or give it instructions and it does it ps thing using its AP and skill.

Be on the lookout for an OD&D fiction series I'm writing called "White Box Tales", it will be posted on this very forum.
The Design Mechanism is having a Boxing Day sale OMG OMG OMG
They don't deliver to Brazil :/
I am the bishonen yaoi leprechaun, deal with it!
Merry Christmas to All!
If this night or the day after finds you alone, don't give in to bad thoughts. Drop me a PM. Merry Christmas, you magnificent bastards.
Anybody here like the idea of OSR-style Zombie Apocalypse Survival?
That’s a pretty good idea! I’d use Sine Nomine’s Other Dust as a basis, at least for chargen.
Choosing between D&D (ACKS) and Runequest (Mythras) is like having to choose between bourbon or scotch.
Bourbon bourbon bourbon!
Dunno, man, scotch's got the whole complexity thing going on for it. ACKS is pretty complex too. Maybe scotch vs. scotch is a better analogy? Speyside vs. Islay?
Merry Christmas, my fellow gamers!
Merry Christmas to you and you loved ones! Be safe and enjoy.
Which series should I get into? Gentlemen Bastards or Prince of Nothing? Hyperion Cantos or Zones of Thought? (Feel free to suggest others)
I'll suggest some others to help with the indecision. :D
Stephen Saylor's "Roma Sub Rosa" Series (15 books)
Bernard Cornwell's "Saxon Stories" Series (10 books)
Bernard Cornwell's "Warlord Chronicles" Trilogy (absolutely awesome, Loz and Pete are big fans of Cornwell, Mythic Britain is inspired by this series)
Personally, I'd start with Gentlemen Bastards, Prince of Nothing might be worth all the accolades, but I have a healthy skepticism towards Ubermensch protagonists.
I'm going to be writing an Original Dungeons & Dragons story in a serialized format on this site pretty soon. Wish me luck!
The trouble with crafting your own system is the fear that potential players will be too skeptical of "no-brand" and won't want to try it.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year! Prob gonna be mostly inactive until early January. Take care and stay safe.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
So, should I write a Dungeons & Dragons story or a Vampire: The Masquerade story?
FINALS are done! Wooo!
TLJ is ok. Best episode of Battlestar Galactica I've seen in ages
Anybody interested in reading some stories inspired by OD&D or Vampire 1e?
Sure, if they're short, what vampire 1e are you talking about?
Masquerade 1e, stuff like Chicago By Night and the like.
And now they will have to kill him. A shame really.
Didn't Wraith: The Oblivion get a 20th anniversary edition? Can't find it on DrivethruRPG
It Kickstarted and had an estimated release of July 2015, but it has yet to make it out the door. Here is the latest update on it. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/200664283/deluxe-wraith-the-oblivion-20th-anniversary-editio/posts/2059149
TLJ is good. It’s no TESB or R1, but it’s much better than TFA (=big dumb ANH remake). A few good twists. Script could be tighter.
Loving the no politics here more each day.
Going to see The Last Jedi tomorrow!
My 10 year old nephew has just discovered the Illuminati. He's so excited it's adorable.
The concept or the card game?
The concept. I'll introduce him to the card game over Christmas.
Wow, episode 14 of City Hunter (1987) is total trash, and not for the obvious reason.
K-Billy's Super Sounds of the 70's keeps on truckin'
