You can have a donkey. A goblin infantry platoon may be a bit much at Level 1.

I'm in and out. Baby girl arriving today so I'll have to see what the next few weeks bring for a schedule. Let me know if you can handle irregularity. Totally understand if it's not going to work.

I have 13 gold set aside for mercenaries. I got lucky with the initial gold roll.

Doc Sammy, tell us what that could buy us in manpower?

And do they come with any armor / weapons or do they expect us to supply those?

Any mercenaries come with their own weapons and armor, you don't have to supply that.

I'd say 13 gp could hire about three or four mercs.

Let's grab 3 mercs and save the balance for supplies.

BTW, where are we going?

Not sure yet, haven't had much time to develop the campaign setting due to real-life stuff getting in the way.

God dammit, no! A donkey costs 20g and Saddlebags 5g! We can't afford a donkey with saddlebags, even if we combined our money!

So... hey, can goblin infantry mercenaries cost half, or less, as much as these other mercenaries? 'Cuz we together could get 6 regular mercs (and keep some spare change). That way we could get 12+ goblin infantry. Then we just give them a bunch of extra sacks like draft mules (that can stab you with a spear)!

I highly suggest adventure generators when real-life threatens gaming. There is a great one pager in the back of Exemplars & Eidolons which is Kevin Crawford's freebie RPG.

There is also the online Donjon website for campaign random generators of all sorts.

Since this is some sort of Gritty Anime Ravenloft, it should be pretty easy to cook up locations and adventure hooks. Even a few dungeon locales combining into a sort of Metroidvania mega-dungeon.

It was a dark and stormy night. The castle's silhouette loomed in the distance during terrifying sheets of lightning, followed by portentious rolls of thunder. Fighting men (and some women!) of the Slatternly Lass Saloon spoke of whose kung-fu was better in hushed tones...

[See!? Not hard. You just start and build from there.]

Are you using invisible pixels?

Sorry. I got a little distracted. Anywho, today's Election Day so I'm going to go vote and after that, we'll try to get this show on the road.

I sincerely apologize for all the delays.

You better sincerely apologize to my insincere complaining!

Oh, I will.

I'm going to do my best to get the game up and running tonight. I've delayed this project for way too long!

Our Dark Dungeons game is different from you Dark Castle pitch, right? We aren't now in some yaoi Vampire Hunter D, right? :ooh: Just checking. :hmmm:

It is different and no, you aren't in Yaoi Vampire Hunter D. Rest assured.
