"Storyteller" and common usage of RPG terms.

When I connect the ideas of videogames to the ideas of tabletop gaming, I always felt like simulationist games were 'playing the game' and storygaming felt like 'the interactive cutscene within the videogame'. Flashier, but reducing the action to a single button press instead of a Tekken 10 hit...

    I need a word

Gronktankular? I like to think of a gronktank as any of those clear acrylic cylinders full of goop with a lifeform inside. Palladium has them for growing eugenics or as sterile environments for psionic surgeries, lots of movies use them for healing chambers. Could be a full sublimation genetic...

Games You'd Run if Your Game Group all had the same Weird Tastes as You

My theme of choice is pandimensional superhero explorer. My last in person table included a grimdark, a black market afficionado, and a primal murderous psychopath. Herdin cats as usual.

    Do you name your campaigns?

Obviously some of them are just modules, so I have them listed that way: Rise of the runelords, skulls and shackles... keep on the borderlands, castle amber... 4 for cormyr Others would be from our sandboxes and are 'most significant feature' of the campaign • Golov's North korean loch ness...

    Do you name your campaigns?

Definitely name every game i'm in as its happening. Not like in the design phase necessarily but by the time its over I've got a bundle of words characterizing what happened... I keep a list.

In Search of a Supers System

probably the only drawback to the palladium system is the online haters community. The system itself is light enough to be nimble for houserules but crunchy enough to be satisfying. Its an easy system to grok that has the bulk of comic book archetypes without the pedantics of build-a-bear powers.

In Search of a Supers System

If your players are used to D&D, I recommend Palladium's heroes unlimited. Its built on essentially the same foundations as D&D so your learning curve is low.

Games other than D&D that use multiple polyhedrals

Palladium is pretty much d6, d20 and pecentile

    Best Game for Cosmic Superheroes?

You know me... Palladium fan. Gotta go with heroes unlimited.

[MSHRPG] I'd like a little context for a conversation about this system.

Thank you sir! Figured it had to be something I couldnt see since such combinations would be downright meek within my particular chosen system compared to other options. I wonder what the range is on those psychic powers. Could snipers stay out of his range. Would we send robots or can robots...
