Most of the post-Pet Sounds BB records have at least one great Dennis Wilson song on it.

Yes, even clunkers like L.A. (Light Album) and M.I.U. Album have at least one classic on them. "Angel Come Home" and "Diane" come to mind. Can't reference the actual track listings now as we are leaving the mountains and will be driving for about an hour or so before we stop for dinner.

Lately I've been listening to a singer named Pongsit Kamphee from Thailand. He has a very expressive and powerful voice, and I like his song writing style (if you listen, give the first one at least 1:45 minutes to get into it):

Interesting, kinda reminds me of a Thai Tim Buckley.

Warning: this post contains both hip hop and death/black metal. Yeah...

This year was the year of Black Metal and Death Metal for me. I hardly hear the shrieks and growls anymore.

Some of my most memorable faves have been women in the genre. Two that stood out particularly: Cadaveria and Astarte (not my favorite songs, just the top results in Youtube):

But I always explore new genres. This year I'll be trying to warm up to Rap/Hip Hop. I'm very picky: I have no interest in over use of swearing and constantly referring to women as "bitches". Mos Def is pretty good so far. First got a glimpse of his style from Blade 2 (edit: with Massive Attack, another group that I've loved for ages):

This is literally the first hip hop album that I've listened to from start to finish:

I'd imagine that this is the kind of music they would play at dance clubs in Queen Beryl's NegaVerse.

And speaking of dance songs and the 90's....

Best album the Beach Boys should've made except Brian Wilson went off the rails so Mark Eric had to make it for them!

Seek this out if you like Pet Sounds , Holland, and other great Beach Boys albums from the late 1960s to mid-1970s.

This guy is one of my heroes and he influenced my posting style over at Pundit's forum, which actually explains a lot.

I am in a Lyft car on the way home from work at the moment, and the driver is playing New Kids on the Block. Send help.

You should look at him and say, "Really dude? No, really?"

Sounds great for some reason Google Play has only one track from the entire album!

That is unfortunate. It's really good. Only record he ever made.

This is the song and video that inspired me to make the impending OSR campaign titled Basement of Iron.

I wouldn't make the mistake of calling Mark Wahlberg a New Kid unless I was genuinely in the mood for fist fight.

I dunno, hangin' tough with the Funky Bunch doesn't give him much room to talk...
