I long ago decided to treat "Old School" as a term of art or euphemism rather than a historical description, similar to referring to the "Good People" or the "Fair Folk."
BECMI got afterlife rules in "The Voyage of the Princess Ark" in DRAGON #180, complete with "Ancient Egyptian Nithian prayers are most effective at guiding the soul back to the body or to its proper rest."
One of TLG's curiosities is that they almost always charge extra for the Print/PDF combinations, although it's less than buying the two of them separately.
"Ogres deserve some respect now."--one of the design team talking about the game in the Game Wizards column in DRAGON #231. And the intro to Heroes of Defiance points out that the Heroes of the Lance tended to avoid a lot of fights, and big battles often resulted in the loss of characters. I...
According to the sales figures from TSR that were posted last year, it sold about as well as the 2E Tales of the Lance set at start. I think it suffered from being underpriced/overproduced, being planned for marketing to the novel fans without taking chain bookstore shelving and the like into...

HERO Games has a short PDF supplement on a Pulp-SF style Solar System, although it only spends a few paragraphs on each planet: Solar Smith and the Sky-Pirates of Arcturus

"DRAGON issue #148 (August...
Gary Sarli's "e20" project sounded promising, but it crashed and burned pretty spectacularly.
On the main topic, depending on how you reckon, my last purchase of a product directly from WotC was in 2019 (PoD versions of I6, I10, and the Ravenloft Black Box) or 2016 (Curse of Strahd), and I've...
