I know that you wanted it under $1K, but honestly that's going to be really, really hard for a new notebook with 32 GBs of RAM. If you want 32 GBs of RAM, this is my suggestion. It's an ASUS notebook computer with 15.6" screen, 32 GBs of RAM, 1 TB SSD, and an entry-level Nvidia RTX 4060...
If you're not dead set on HP, I'd seriously recommend to avoid. I've had two HP notebooks, and they both died on me within two years. Others I know have had issues with them as well. 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB SSD is a good call. My bed is calling me, but I'll look for some specific models...
