Military Matters
Reports are coming in that the Frontier Regiment is having a hard time at the front with lots of casualties.
Martin de Hautemer has joined the Royal Foot Guards as a Private.
Martin Baheux has been accepted into Grand Duke Maximillian Dragoons and has bought a captaincy commission.
Sadly, Marc-Henri Courbet was considered too much of a fop to be considered for the Royal Musketeers.
Brave or foolhardy? Martin de Hautemer has signed up to go to the Frontier next month.
Matters of the Heart
Martin Baheux has won the heart of the fair Coralie Asselineau,
Both Martin de Hautemer and Marc-Henri Courbet preferred the easier option of paying for their female companionship at the bawdyhouse.
Other Social Matters
Marc Henri Coubert has joined Blue Gables. Martin Baheux has joined Red Philips. Both were seen carousing there this month, Captain Baheux in the company of his new lady.
Our new arrivals all moved into lodgings this week. Marc Henri Coubert is renting a very nice town house in Charonne. Martin Baheux is also renting a town house in the somewhat more down market Les Batignoles. Martin de Hautemer has had to settle for a garrett, although it is in the respectable environs of La Villette.
