Some of you might be aware that I've cooked up a hack of the 1st edition Legend of the Five Rings rules. And then it occurred to me that it might be an idea to get some feedback/critique on them.
My idea was to tidy up the combat a little, drawing elements from the WEG Star Wars game and 13th Age in order to get better use from the combat options. Also, I wanted to give a game that doesn't have anything other than the most perfunctory tactical rules system an abstract method of determining position and movement.
And the most important consideration was, I wanted to be able to use 1st edition schools, spells, splats, creatures and modules without having to do a ton of prep work or conversion.
And so without further ado, here's a look at what I got:
Combat and duels.
I need to get round to doing some work on mass combat, which I'm thinking of drawing on 3rd edition rules for. But as I said, some feedback and suggestions owuld be welcome.
